Current licensure to practice as a Registered
Nurse - must be in good standing. License number should be provided
at time of registration. |

Non-medical participants such as victim advocates,
prosecutors, and law enforcement officers may attend at a discounted rate.

Course materials will be provided to those
participants who are registered and attend the conference. |

Registration will not be processed
without payment unless special arrangements are made with conference
coordinator. |

Registrations are processed on a first-come,
first-served basis. We recommend early registration because class
may fill up prior to registration deadline. |

tuition is being offered through a grant obtained the
Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to INDIANA registered nurses, law
enforcement, victim advocates, etc. This is a first come, first served
basis. Certain stipulations apply. |

There will be post-training clinical requirements
to be completed in the participant's community. Ample time will be
provided for completion of those requirements.
Key Note Speaker: Jamie Ferrell, BSN,
RN, DABFN, CA/CP-SANE, SANE-A, CMI-II, CFN
All faculty members are working authorities in their
respective fields of practice. Jamie Ferrell is a Forensic Nurse providing
education and system analysis for professionals and communities committed to
improving their response to victims of interpersonal violence. She
currently practices with the Memorial Hermann Forensic Nurse Response Team in
Houston, Texas as a Forensic Nurse Examiner and Educator caring for adults and
child victims.
Clinical requirements will include:

40 hours minimum of post didactic clinical time that
includes: a required number of female examinations,
observation of felony criminal trial, observing with
law enforcement and advocacy in their perspective roles.
Observation/assistance with 3 sexual assault examinations.

Sexual Assault Exam Refresher Course - For
those RN's who have already attended a full SANE Course, the FWSATC will open
Tuesday, November 4 and Wednesday, November 5, as a refresher. Content
would cover concepts such as evidence collection, female genital development,
genital findings, anal findings, special populations, nurse testimony and more.
Cost is $200.00. Attach copy of original
course certificate with registration.
